Leading investment and wealth manager, Thomas Miller Investment, has made a donation to the Manx Scouts heading to the 24th World Scout Jamboree in 2019.

The Scouts are presently fundraising the required £40,000 in Jamboree fees, on-Island training costs and the additional travel expenses associated with living on the Isle of Man. Having made an initial contact with Thomas Miller Investment, the Scouts met with Isle of Man Managing Director Tom Richards who was very keen to support the Scouts on their adventure.

Tom commented that:-

We are absolutely delighted to provide our sponsorship to help the Isle of Man Scout Association contingent attend the World Scout Jamboree in the summer of 2019. It will be an excellent opportunity for our Scouts to meet their UK and international counterparts and engage with them in team based and leadership, adventure and knowledge activities. We look forward to seeing the Scouts out and about over the next 18 months as they continue their fund raising activities and wish them all the best for their adventure.

One of the Manx Scouts, Amy Goring, commented that:-

Thomas Miller has made an extremely generous donation and it goes a long way to helping with our fundraising. The Jamboree is a great experience for us Scouts but also for the Island itself, allowing us to promote it to a global audience. It is great therefore to have the support of Thomas Miller, as a local business, which perfectly demonstrates the community nature of the Island but also the global outreach of Manx business.
